Wine Classes at Felidia
FELIDIA is excited to announce that Wine Specialist and Educator Sara Olocco will be hosting a series of fun and educational wine classes at Felidia Restaurant on Saturdays starting on March 28th at 2:00 PM. Sara was born and raised in Piedmont, one of Italy’s culinary and wine capitals. She earned a degree in Food Culture and Communication at the prestigious SLOW FOODUniversity of Gastronomic Sciences in Bra, Italy before moving to New York City in 2015. Sara is known for her lively and energetic presentations; in fact, she advises everyone that they should be ready to taste great wines, learn an incredible amount of information AND enjoy watching how much she talks with her hands!
Saturday, March 28th at 2:00PM – A Tribute to Italian Female Winemaker
Sara’s first class is in honor of Women’s History Month and will feature some of the most important female wine makers from different regions of Italy including Sorelle Bronca (Veneto), Elisabetta Foradori (Trentino Alto Adige), Giulia Negri (Piedmont), Elena Fucci (Basilicata), Arianna Occhipinti (Sicilia) and Paolo Lantieri (Island of Vulcano, Sicilia). During the class, Sara will lead a dynamic tasting of their wines and a vibrant conversation about sustainable viticulture, biodiversity, diversity of regions, climates, native grape varieties and more.
